So I did something a bit out of character last night. I actually went on a date. An honest to God, sit down and eat, talk and get to know each other d-a-t-e. It was pretty amazing. We had a picnic dinner near Grant's Tomb in Riverside Park. We sat on a park bench and looked at the Hudson and talked and laughed. Despite the fact that I have a terrible cold, we had a really great time. There was a little hand holding. The whole evening had a very innocent quality to it that seems to be lacking in so many of the dating experiences I hear about.
Best part about it? The second date is tomorrow! How many times in one's life can we say we went on a first date with a cold, and actually got asked for a second date?
