So, my lease renewal forms showed up recently, and after a lot of thought, I have decided to leave Brooklyn and return to Washington Heights, or maybe the Bronx. As happy as I have been in Brooklyn overall, and as much as I love this borough, and my apartment, I miss my friends. I miss my godsons. I miss the life I led before this self imposed exile to the burbs began. I have contacted a Realtor, and we are looking for an apartment within my price range (which is pretty low for Manhattan) that I can move into in February.
It is time to rejoin the real world. To go home.
