Riding the subway this day after election day, I noticed my traveling compainions seem to be reeling from the results.. It ts the topic of numerous conversations in my vicinity, and though locally we stood firmly democratic, the nation took a different path. I am reminded today of a similar day about six years ago, when shell shocked New Yorkers were talking about a different Republican victory.
